What information we collect
When you register for the German Business Community UK Founding Community, we may collect your:
- name and email address;
- business or organisation name;
- profession or business activity;
- town or city;
- website or LinkedIn profile;
- information you choose to provide about what you would like from the community; and
- email communication preferences.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in the free-text fields.
How we use your information
We use your information to administer your registration, understand the interests of our community, develop German Business Community UK and plan relevant networking opportunities, events, resources and other community activities.
Where you have selected the Email marketing permission, we will also use your email address to send you occasional updates about the community launch, events, networking opportunities, news and relevant community activities.
We rely on our legitimate interests to establish, develop and administer the community, and on your consent for email marketing communications.
You can withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us.

We use MailerLite to manage registrations, subscriber information and email communications. Information submitted through the registration form is therefore processed through MailerLite on our behalf.

Member directory
Registering for the Founding Community does not mean that your personal or business details will automatically be published in a member or business directory.
If we introduce a directory in the future, we will explain how it works and give you a choice about what information, if any, you wish to make visible.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required to operate the community, communicate with you and meet any legal obligations.
If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal record of your email address and opt-out status so that we can respect your request not to receive further marketing emails.
